Hello Friends!
I haven’t posted in a while, so I was thinking on what I
would have to offer. I do not write a blog just for the sake of writing. I also
realize that I should write more often than I do. I want something worthwhile,
something valuable, something you might relate to.
I was listening to a friend relate a portion of a sermon her
pastor had preached. He was speaking concerning Christ in Matthew 8:2-3. This
was where Jesus had just come down from the mountain. A leper came and
worshipped him and said, “Lord if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.” Then Jesus said, “I will. Be thou clean.”
The pastor went on to say what it really meant was, “Lord if
you want to, you can make me clean.” And Jesus said, “I want to.”
Those few phrases have rang in my mind many times since I
heard them first. “I want to.”
Why would this sinless man want to cleanse and set me
free? A Gentile, I am so undeserving of
his wondrous mercy and grace. Yet he said, “I will!” “I want to.”
Oh how loved I feel by the Savior. “I want
to.”
Lord Jesus,
Thank you for having mercy on me.
Thank you for your compassion and healing virtue, that flows like a river to
cleanse and make me every bit whole. I am so glad that I can call on you any
time of the day or night and you will hear and answer my prayer. I am so very glad that you want to!!
