I Want To!!!

Hello Friends!

I haven’t posted in a while, so I was thinking on what I would have to offer. I do not write a blog just for the sake of writing. I also realize that I should write more often than I do. I want something worthwhile, something valuable, something you might relate to.

I was listening to a friend relate a portion of a sermon her pastor had preached. He was speaking concerning Christ in Matthew 8:2-3. This was where Jesus had just come down from the mountain. A leper came and worshipped him and said, “Lord if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.”  Then Jesus said, “I will. Be thou clean.”

The pastor went on to say what it really meant was, “Lord if you want to, you can make me clean.” And Jesus said, “I want to.”

Those few phrases have rang in my mind many times since I heard them first.  “I want to.”

Why would this sinless man want to cleanse and set me free?   A Gentile, I am so undeserving of his wondrous mercy and grace. Yet he said, “I will!” “I want to.”

Oh how loved I feel by the Savior.  “I want to.”                                                  

Lord Jesus,

Thank you for having mercy on me. Thank you for your compassion and healing virtue, that flows like a river to cleanse and make me every bit whole. I am so glad that I can call on you any time of the day or night and you will hear and answer my prayer.  I am so very glad that you want to!! 

                                                                                                                                                 Amen

I hope you received the blessing that I did as I thought and pondered on the three little words.

"Keep Going Anyway!!"

Well "time marches on" they have said for as long as I can remember. Again, it has been a long while since I have posted on this blog.

Can I be honest with you? I didn't know whether to keep a blog or not.
Does anyone read my blog? If so, is it interesting? Does it hold your attention?

After much soul searching I have decided to keep going. I really do have much to contribute.
Everyone has something to contribute. Have you ever felt, "No one is interested in what I have to say." Or, "I really am not talented at anything." "I don't have anything to offer."

You have something to offer, something to contribute. My mother told a story of a woman who never said a bad word about anyone. One day the worst man in the community died. Folks said,"We've got her now. There is nothing good about ole "So and So." When they asked her if she heard he died, she said, "You know, he sure could whistle good." Even the worst man in the community had something to contribute.

"Keep going anyway. " Life gets discouraging and sometimes no matter how hard we try it seems we fail. Keep trying! Eventually you will succeed.

I realize I haven't posted any pictures. After leaving Blogger for so long, a lot has changed, including how to add or insert pictures. I will have to learn how to correct or remove photo's from the posts.
I have decided that if there are those of you willing to check in with me every so often, "Nanny Kathy's House just might be a pleasant place to visit.

I enjoy reading, crafts, and decorating. These will be included from time to time.
